Brakhage

Saturday 3rd September 2016, 12:00 - 1:30pm, Free.
Canal Side Steps - Granary Square Regent's Canal, London, N1C 4AA. For more information and to book please follow this link

Stan Brakhage was a pioneer of 20th century experimental cinema, best known for his techniques of working directly onto celluloid film.

In Mothlight (1963), he pasted moth wings and organic material on to strips of film and, when projected, the bright light seemed to bring the insects back to life.

Join The Floating Cinema and no.w.here for a drop in workshop experimenting with ways of making organic cameraless films, using natural materials from the Kings Cross area.
