The Light Reading series continues with three artists who are currently on the FURTHER residency programme.

FURTHER is a joint project between Artquest, no.w.here, and Film Londonís Artistsí Moving Image Network, which has provided Edith, John and Noski the opprtunity to develop their practice using Super 8 and 16mm film, with full access to no.w.here training, facilities and support.

Edith Marie Pasquier is an artist from a performance / live art background as well as being a writer and critic. For FURTHER, Edith has developed a project, Thirteen Ways of Looking, which uses Wallace Steven's poem '13 Ways of looking at a Blackbird' as a starting point.

John O'Connell is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art. For FURTHER, he has investigated the notion of landscape including the construction of miniature environments, including weather systems which are then filmed.

Noski DeVille is a celebrated filmmaker and cinematographer, working with artists such as Steve McQueen and Issac Julien. Noski is currently developing and exploring her own practice in a more abstract and physical way. Another Place, her proposed project, is 'an exploration through the camera eye of cinematic memories and fragments, and how they have impacted on and created an internal world to frame my world.'
