Work produced by artist David Blamey on no.w.here's India residency
The no.w.here Residency Program supports projects which approach media as a contemporary electronic and cinematic art form, providing artists with time and space for aesthetic exploration in the creation of new work. The self-directed work environment offers personalized instruction, access to a unique set of resources, curatorial and technical mentoring and support and accommodation, with access to full production, and post-production technology. Artists use the equipment themselves, and have unlimited access to the studio during their stay.
no.w.here is located in the dynamic heart of the East end of London very close to all the many galleries in the neighbourhood. During the residency there are many opportunities to meet artists, curators and attend screenings as part of the Light Reading series.
When no.w.here has a forthcoming funded residency opportunity planned we advertise its availability on our website and monthly newsletter.
As an organisation we are open to artists approaching us directly by supporting your own funding application to create a residency opportunity. This usually takes the form of a bespoke and tailor made residency to the individuals project. If you are interested in taking this approach then please contact us with your particular proposal and funding strategy.
Past participant artists have been the recipients of major awards from Arts Council England, Film London and Artquest. To date no.w.here has hosted 12 artists from Europe, South Asia, and North America.
